Happy Birthday to you my Dear Anoja .
It has been such a pleasure knowing you all these long years – and I am honored to have been in the same Class of 64 as you–. and to call you My Batch Mate !
You have done the Class of 64 Proud , with all your Academic Achievements– ending up as Dean of Faculty of Medicine – University of Srilanka- Galle .
You were always that one person, I could depend upon , when ever I needed a ‘good head’ to settle an issue , to plan something fun during a Class RU, — the list goes on and on !!
You were always there for all the Class of 64 RU’s starting from 1989– in UK , till the last one in Beruwala 2019.
The Grand RU in 2014– you ,together with Narme, Ranjith Almeida, Lucky Senanayake , put sooo much effort into it to make it THE most memorable RU ever .
I do recall the time you visited Canada, and stayed with me – way back in the 90’s .
You always had time for for us, when ever one of us would visit SL , long after we left SL .– the most recent being , entertaining Maithri, Praxy and Swarna, as recent as this year .
I hope I can meet you, as i am planning a trip to SL- -in Sept- Oct- if all goes well ,for me here , now that Covid is on the mend !
The best was how we met suddenly and unexpectedly in Oct 2018, at Puttalam Rest House- when you, Naomi, Indira/ Ana were on your way to Wilpattu, and I was on my way out of Wilpattu, on the way to Colombo !
I had a look at the lovely Photo Album Book you did for Indira/ Ana , with all the photos taken over 50 + years — What a Memory .. What a Gift .. above all – What A Friend .. !
I am proud to call you , to know you , as My Friend and Batch Mate !
