Video #2
I just received 8 video clips originally recorded during the 1989 Batch Reunion , when Batchmates with their spouses and children from world over gathered in Warrington UK, to celebrate 20th year anniversary of graduation from Medical School. Due to the size of the files, I will post them in instalments.
In addition to the creator Thusan Kumaraswamy, we are thankful to Asokan for his efforts to locate and digitise these analog files after 32 years. When you view these images, most faces are quite recognisable, but sadly some are no longer with us.
Enjoy!
Sam
Editorial note: I am having difficulties accommodating these huge files due to WordPress storage limitations. So I will be deleting older uploads to make room for the new ones. If any of you would like copies for your personal use please email me privately.

Dear Sam, Kum and Asokan
Our grateful thanks ππ for this memorable video that has been posted after so many years. Apart from the nostalgia, it brought lovely memories of the happy batch we belong to . Even though we are dispersed all over the world we are still united . This is a lovely thought and our gratitude goes to Sam for posting various clips over the years that have helped to keep the batch π©βπ©βπ§βπ¦π¨βπ¨βπ§βπ¦π¨βπ©βπ¦βπ¦π¨βπ¨βπ¦βπ¦π¨βπ¨βπ¦βπ¦ together . At the same time it brought back memories of our friends π§π»π§π»π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ§πΌββοΈwho are.no longer with us. May their souls rest in peace . Praxy and Ranjit

Thank you Sam and Asokan, Kum and others for putting it together.
I was able to attend only because the reunion took place in the middle of my one year Commonwealth Fellowship. Otherwise I could not have made it. Even so, I could afford to spend only one night at the expensive (for me, from Sri Lanka) hotel. The video has brought back lovely memories. One of my English friends arranged for me to spend the previous night with her two aunts in Warrington. They were so sweet and hospitable, and thrilled to see me in a saree the next morning.
Still, I am so glad I was able to meet my batch mates and have a good time, even for one day.

Piching and I thank Sam , Asokan and Kums for putting this video to gether . Our first ever reunion and now this video to remember the wonderful memories that are timeless treasures of the heart.
As we have mentioned time and time again , we are so very grateful to Sam for establishing our web site. Our web site is unique and is the envy of other batches in medical school. I have had requests from senior colleagues from medical school who have asked for the web address to browse through our web site for entertainment and to learn about our activities.

Thank you Sam for the post – and thank you Kum, Asokan , Nisantha for the video production .
It was sooooo very Nostalgic- Sweet- Sad – that I had to get in the car and go for a drive around for a while … to get my head in the right place ….
Thinking of Kamala, Dushi , Sandy Perimps , to name a few … Bless Your Souls …
On a Happier note — there we were – in our full bloom of youth , all of us still under 50 , nice black hair, ( specially Nisantha ) that did not know what hair coloring was back then, , kids running around, now all grown up , Kellas of the sixties, all decked in sari , looking like Rupa Sundaris’ , guys neatly dressed, handsome and dapper , and well behaved ( !!! ) and a handsome youthful Justin Labrooy looking like Justin Trudeau !!!!
Thank you Sam for creating the Class of 69 Web Post — god only knows, these hard Covid days, this is better than the Vaccine for an Immune Booster to keep our Souls Alive .
Looking fwd to the next few videos .
Best Wishes and Keep Well- Class of 64, in 2021.
