Hi Colleagues, On my last visit to Colombo , I saw this taking shape. This clip brings it all to real life.It is expected to be completed in 2041, so it is not for us.!.Is this the Utopia that Sri Lankans are dreaming of.?I only hope that they will not be disappointed. In this rapidly changing world twenty years is far too long to predict what the future holds.Que Sera, sera.! Eddie.
Thanks Eddie for the post. Finally Sri Lanka may be able to compete with the rest of the world on equal footing. With the corrupt , uneducated politicians who like to feather their own caps disregarding the welfare of the country and its people is this futuristic project feasible? Obviously it is not for us but for our future generations.
We need a leader like Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore ,who will recruit educated people into the cabinet and the parliament to see a bright future.

Thanks Nisantha for your comment.Fortunately for us, we will not be around to see what happens.Maybe , that in time a new breed of politicians will emerge and our beautiful country will blossom again. Eddie.

For the past 5 years we have had not a “YAHAPALANAYA” but a “YAXAPALANAYA” government which took the Country back decades. Fortunately, we now have a President who can think by himself and in the Country”s interests Yes a Lee Kuan Yew of Sri Lanka. These are very ambitious developments and hopefully in the near future they will pay off and help make the Country prosperous. The prime need is politicians who can work for the interests of the Country and not for themselves – men and women of INTEGRITY and I do hope the electorate will vote carefully and sensibly this time round.
