I was due to leave for Hawaii this morning to attend a medical
review course organized by the Univ of Southern Ca (USC) but
had to cancel plans on account of the Corona pandemic and
movement/travel restrictions.
It was nice ‘catching up’ with you at the last RU, and meeting your
family.Hopefully, we’ll get to meet again soon. I can imagine how
much you must enjoy watching your little g-daughter growing up.
My son and daughter who work in New York City, one of the hot
spots for the Corona epidemic, will be in Southern California with
me, working from home over the coming weeks

It’s a good thing you were able to get back before all the travel
restrictions kicked in.I was due to leave for Hawaii for the USC
medical review course today and called it off in the nick of time
or we would have been subjected to 2 weeks quarantine in the
hotel room.
I can imagine what a great experience it must have been to get
together with all those guys you played cricket with and against
nearly 60 years ago,and swap tales about how you top scored
at the Royal-Thomian match with the most unorthodox
display of batsmanship witnessed at Wanaththamulla, and how
Jansen ‘held the Lalla’ to save Royal at the end of the day.
Trust all’s well with you and yours.I’m playing Tennis regularly
still and making hospital rounds as I have several in patients,
though my office is closed for the coming week- as done in
anticipation of the conference.
