I am sad to inform you that our dear batch mate and Bloemite  Kulothungam Ilango, departed this world a few days ago.
He trained as an oncologist, worked for some insurance company and then as a GP.  I am told he had a stroke.

  2. It is indeed very sad to hear of the passing away of a fellow batch mate. The timing of the news is particularly poignant when we are less than a month away from the first ever Bloem reunion.
As doctors we should have an awareness of the inevitability of death more than what the average person would. But it still hurts.
    My condolences to the family.

  6. Hi Batch mates,
Like all of you, i am saddened by the news. His widowed
S-I-L lives about 20 minutes from our home. I have met him once or twice at her place. As you know he has always been a very quiet, very smart and private person, I understand he has a son and daughter. He also has surviving brothers and sisters. I hope to meet his S-I-L when she is back from the funeral in New Mexico, USA. I thought I can pass on all your condolences, wishes and prayers to the family as soon as I can. I got the information from his nephew thru a mutual friend. Apparently he passed away in late November after two strokes. They had a late funeral so that family could arrive.
Thank you Sam for the post.
