We received several inquiries as to whether the proposed plan for having another RU this year is still in progress. Some of you may have already made plans to attend and others may have had second thoughts after the recent events in SriLanka. The Organizing Committee wishes to proceed with the original plan. They feel that the conditions in SriLanka would likely be more normalized by October. However, before they proceed any further the committee would like to know how many are still interested in attending. You may have already received a message from Praxy regarding this matter. Please help us by your response even though you may have done so before the events occurred in SriLanka. Praxy– you are right on the money, when you say, this might be the Final RU and lets make the most of it while the going is good .
-As for my self, this may be even my last visit to SL — long distance travelling/ jet lag, getting harder and harder .

Count both of us in for the RU. It will be helpful if the details of booking at Eden can be given in the blog. Most hotels have hugely discounted rates now.

In the light of the past events in SL, if you think Eden will reduce the price, may be it is worth either you or RA asking them and renegotiate a better price. What I have heard is that during the week the prices are low but higher at weekends as locals make use of the hotels. It is “worth a try”
