  2. Yes organ donation saves several lives a year all around the world. It is a shame that more individuals and families do not opt for organ donations.

    When we took our final exam if we mentioned that we could save the life of an patient by subjecting the patient to an even a simple kidney transplant , we would have failed the exam. Forget about a heart or a liver transplants then. Now it is not uncommon at all. Medicine is so advanced now. A simple blood test can detect cancers in the body. The Tricorder from Star Trek to diagnose diseases is available now and will be common place in the very near future.
