  2. My dear Esiri,
I ‘downloaded ‘ the 15 min you tube and listened to it – while my soul was in heaven …

I was close to tears- and it just burst its banks and gushed out, when I heard that most wonderful rendition of ” Olu Nelum Neriya Rangala — – Edi, Edi yan nelewi- ridi thotille “– Oh My God- what beautiful words , I was almost floating in a Ridi Thotilla ….

I had just come inside the house, ( 6 pm almost sunset for me here in Ontario ) after doing a little pooja on the lake behind my home for Kumi- using one of every flower that is now blooming in my garden .
Her ashes were scattered in the Indian Ocean today- 30 Sept.
it is already 1st oct there .

I was already in SL in my soul, ” with Kumi, ” when I saw Sam’s post and quickly downloaded it and listened to it .
I was thinking of all that , during the pooja,—– when I used to come to Pittsburgh for the New Year celebration in April, and we all had sooo much fun back then — you, Zavahir, Nisantha, my self, singing away on that make shift stage !

Ridi Thotilla– just got me going ….
Yes- The Ridi Thotilla will put me to sleep tonight ….

Even as a very young girl, , when’ Rekawa ‘ came in to the sliver screen, I was just mesmerized by that song- and to hear it today, of all days ….

    What an irony-

Thank you sooo much Esiri- you dont know, what it meant to me, just to listen to that song, sung by one of our very own Class of 64 mates .
I am happy and proud to be one of them !

Thank you for accepting the invitation to entertain us RU- 2018 !!
I hope the 12 Full Moons will pass soon – I can hardly wait !

Thank you Sam- for posting this wonderful little video clip .

  5. Esiri,

That was great!!!. Knowing all your sisters & brothers & your Dad, from before Med School time, make it symbolic to me. Just like OLD TIMES at Jeevaka. We nevber missed the short evening sing songs right after dinner, before hitting Pharmacology & Pathology books!!. That was the best days of my life, at JEEVAKA with all of you. Great work , Esiri. Proud of you, as always.. WIMAL.

  7. Dear Esiri,
    Congratulations from a non-singing radiologist.
One of my former associate, a Jewish radiologist used to sing while working. Our staff -mainly girls were very fond of him. He even sing through the Dictaphone! Do you do the same?
    All the best.

  9. I feel sorry for Poor Esiri to “Let the cat out”.
Esiri, lucky you are far away from UK, otherwise you will be another casualty as in Las Vegas !!

Some time back there was a discussion on Sam’s web site – Deepthie defending convent girls.
What can I say??? Nothing to add from this end except to wonder why none of the girls visited Bloem !!!!!

    • Hey Seelan and Ariya- you know what ?

I did attend one Blom Social dance with some senior guy who invited me and believe it or not,- there I was , at the Bloem Social !! — a very nervous goody goody Convent Girl at a Boys Hostel Social in my very first year at the Block !!

That was my first and last !!

Ok- see you all in Beruwala, 2018- and I will dance with ALL of the Old Bloem Boys !

With guys like, Ranjith Almeida, yourgoodself and myself were in

As Deepthie expressed, the impression on lads, at Bloemfontein

Wouldn’t have been favourable for beauties of the batch to rush in
